Summary: Faview does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, telemetry, or reading records. Everything you read stays strictly on your device.
1. Data Collection
Faview is an offline text viewer for iPhone, iPad, and iPhone Duo. The developer does not collect, record, transmit, or sell personal information, device identifiers, IP addresses, or reading behavior.
2. Local Storage and Document Handling
Text files and folders imported into Faview remain on your device:
- Text Files: Imported documents are stored on your device and are not transmitted to third-party services.
- Reading Progress: Reading positions and reading preferences (font size, theme, line spacing) are stored on your device.
3. Third-Party Services and Analytics
Faview does not include third-party tracking frameworks, analytics SDKs, session replay tools, or advertising networks. What you read is never tracked or shared.
4. In-App Purchases
Optional supporter tips and purchases are processed directly and securely by Apple through Apple StoreKit.
The developer never receives or stores payment details, credit card numbers, or billing addresses. All payment processing follows Apple's Privacy Policy. Standard Apple Terms of Use apply: Apple Standard EULA.
5. iOS System Integration
Faview integrates with native iOS features solely on your device:
- Spotlight Search: With your permission, Faview creates an on-device Spotlight index of your imported book titles and authors so you can find them from iOS search. Event contents and full text are never uploaded.
- Security-Scoped Bookmarks: Faview uses standard iOS security-scoped bookmarks to access documents you explicitly choose from the Files app.
6. Your Choices and Data Deletion
You maintain complete control over your data at all times:
- You can delete individual books or clear your reading history anytime in the Library view.
- You can turn off Spotlight indexing in iOS Settings › Siri & Search › Faview.
- Uninstalling Faview removes all imported documents, reading positions, and settings from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Faview requires no user accounts and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
8. Support & Feedback
Faview sends no analytics or diagnostic reports on its own. If you contact support by email, your email address and message contents are used solely to answer your questions and provide technical support.
